Here’s a few websites you might want to bookmark or add to your RSS reader. They’re amazing websites full of helpful articles on web standards and CSS tutorials as well as featuring some really inspirational collections of websites.

CSS Globe - The Web Standards Magazine

This website features such articles as “CSS text gradient“, “Pure CSS Data Chart“, “Create Resizing Thumbnails Using Overflow Property“, “Fighting Form Spam With CSS“, “Custom Double Solid Borders for Images“, “7 Ways to Get Involved in the Design Community“,  etc.

It’s got a nice and clean layout that is designed to make reading the articles a priority. It’s void of frills and heavy graphics and yet it looks super slick.

Smashing Magazine

This website is amazing! Articles for inspiration and loads of how-to guides and CSS tutorials. Basically it’s THE site for a web designer.

The How-To section features such articles as “Getting Creative With Transparency in Web Design“, “Create A Successful Online Portfolio“, “10 Principles Of Effective Web Design“, “Screen Resolutions and Better User Experience” and “35 Designers x 5 Questions“.

A List Apart - For People Who Make Websites

This website’s been around for what seems like forever and there’s a reason for that. It’s just that good. This website features really good articles on CSS, web standards and other related subjects. It should definitely be a must read for any web designer.

Plus, they make some really cool T-shirts for web designers :)

StyleIgnite

A fantastic website that will help you “ignite your site”. It’s a great resource on current web styles and trends and how to incorporate those into your own website.

The site features articles such as “Wait! 8 things to remember before designing your next site” and  “Analysis of Web 2.0 Design & Layout Trends - Part 1: Clean, Colorful and Horizontally Divided“.

The web is FULL of great sites like these and sometimes it’s hard to filter through the poo to get the good stuff. To find more resources I definitely recommend checking out Digg’s Design section. If a good article, How-To guide or inspirational website has been created it’s bound to end up on Digg at some point.
